About Wheels for a Wish

Wheels for a Wish was created by Chase Malackowski at age 11 as a way to give back to the amazing organization that helped create his ultimate Make-A-Wish Foundation® experience. Wheels for a Wish is part of the Center For Applied Innovation and is a 501(c)3 organization.

You can help by donating old Hot Wheels® Redline® cars that Chase can sell on this website, as well as at major Hot Wheels Collectors Conventions. All net proceeds will be sent to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for funding the dreams of deserving children with disabilities or life threatening diseases.

The mission of Wheels for a Wish is to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® through donation and resale of Hot Wheels® Redline® cars. Hot Wheels produced Redline cars from 1968 to 1975 and they are now collectibles.

My name is Chase and I am a cancer survivor. In 2009 I was the fortunate recipient of a Make-A-Wish dream come true. My wish was to design a Hot Wheels® car. After the design was complete and my HydraRacer™ prototype was built, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® sent me on a trip to visit Mattel. Not only did I enjoy a wonderful day with the Hot Wheels team, but I also had the opportunity to participate in the Hot Wheels Collectors Convention as a speaker, prior to the annual charity auction. Following this amazing experience, I decided to start my own non-for-profit organization to help raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I created Wheels for a Wish with a goal to raise $5,000 annually.
